Meet Dr. Tang

Dr. Schuyler Tang comes from Orlando, Florida. After completing his Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee, he decided on a career in dentistry.

Dr. Tang earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 2018 from the University of the Pacific Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry in downtown San Francisco. While in California, he fell in love with his future wife, Kim Vy Vo – at the time a UC Davis student interested in software engineering – and with California as a whole!

About Dr. Tang

Curiosity about orthodontics brought Dr. Tang back to Florida, where he completed his residency training at the University of Florida and where Kim Vy landed her first software engineering job. With family nearby, Dr. Tang initially decided to settle in Florida and practiced there for a couple of years after finishing residency, but ultimately, his yearning to return to California (along with some light prodding from Kim Vy) won out.

Outside of his academic pursuits, Dr. Tang enjoys archery, sailing, playing the cello, and scouting out bubble tea shops with his wife. Together, they have two yappy dogs: Benny, a Chihuahua with almost no teeth; and Momo, a Yorkie with an underbite who has so far declined orthodontic treatment. Dr. Tang and Kim Vy were just married this year and are hoping to start a family soon!
