Meet the Team

Josie will help you understand more about your treatments and create a bespoke treatment with you, to fit in with your busy lifestyle.

Josie says she “feels truly blessed” to have joined the “warm-hearted” Wu Orthodontics family. “You will find this is an atmosphere of not only great care, but amazing team support as well. I have met many wonderful patients and enjoy being able to assist them. The best part of my job is seeing the huge smile on a patient’s face!”

In her spare time, she is a social butterfly, spending time with friends at dinner parties or the movies and enjoying playing with her nephews.

Kim works closely with Dr. Wu and our other Registered Dental Assistant, Pedro, helping them apply and maintain your treatment.

Having worked in the dental field for over twenty years, Kim is dedicated to patient experience and loves watching the difference that Wu Orthodontics’ braces make to every patient’s smile. Interaction with patients is what makes her day and she loves being part of Wu Orthodontics’ friendly team.

Kim’s spare time is spent shopping, spending quality time with friends and family and enjoying sampling all the wonderful, different food options provided around the Bay Area.

Lisa works closely with our local community as well as patients to better understand their treatment journey.

Born and raised in Oakland, CA, Lisa went to the University of California at Davis and Teachers College, Columbia University. Dedicated to community service, Lisa has served as the President, Executive Vice President, and Vice President of Events of the PTA at Hoover Elementary School in Palo Alto. Lisa still remains active in her school community.

Outside the office, Lisa aspires to be a decent pickleball player and food photographer.

Pedro works with Dr. Wu and our other Registered Dental Assistant, Kim. Pedro helps to diagnose and educate patients as well as applying and maintaining our range of technological orthodontic solutions.

Born and raised in Peru, Pedro comes from a dental-oriented family! His father previously owned a dental clinic and his brother is a dentist, too. Having worked in orthodontics for over ten years, his passion is “interacting with patients and playing my part in creating esthetic and functional smiles”.

Sporty Pedro enjoys soccer, which he plays twice a week in a league. Pedro is also adventurous, spending his spare time exploring new places on the road, with his family.

Xaymara will work with you and your insurance company to make sure paperwork is completed and everything goes smoothly, ensuring there are no delays with your treatment.

Puerto Rican Xaymara moved to California in 2008 after graduating with a bachelor’s degree in Biology from the University of Puerto Rico. With an initial ambition of becoming a physician, Xaymara eventually realized she was destined for dentistry and never looked back! She says the most gratifying part of her day is “seeing patients reach their goal of an improved smile”.

Xaymara’s time outside work is spent busy hiking, sightseeing, cooking and crafting.

Born in Redwood City, CA, Vanessa attended the College of San Mateo. Her loves are animals and watching movies! Share with her your favorite animals and movies!
